Quality Culture
Second Foundation has fostered a quality culture from day one of its incorporation. We start Quality by training all our personnel in our strong quality assurance and quality control process. We sustain Quality by well planned teamwork and strict adherence to the quality process. We improve Quality by examining every aspect of the process and measuring, analyzing and improving it as part of a 'closed loop feedback system'.
 
     
 

Approach to Quality
Our approach to Quality is driven by quality assurance mechanisms rather than by quality control. For instance as part of its development processes, Second Foundation lays high emphasis on reviews. We realize that defect prevention costs far less than detection and correction. Furthermore, every project at Second Foundation is overseen by a quality consultant who mentors the developers on implementing the right processes in order to reduce defects.

     
  Quality Systems at Second Foundation:
 

Second Foundation has robust quality systems and processes in place, which have resulted in outstanding productivity with a high number of zero defect products. These processes cover activities ranging from software development, through support functions, and to project management, status reporting and escalation.

We conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance. We improve the processes on a regular basis via a documented quality process improvement mechanism.
